This quote is really important because it apply's to you to become more obedient then less obedient. Having less obedience means having lees freedom. When you have more obedience that means you will have more freedom than the ones that do not have any obedience or freedom.  Also that when we have the obedience and freedom we might end up having a good life. So when we do not have the obedience and freedom we might not end up having a good life. So it is better to have freedom than not to have no freedom. After all the quote means to have freedom and be obedient is good.
